Applied LCA basics
Ecological evaluation through the use of life cycle assessments for more sustainable process management and product design. New environmental regulations and directives require companies to take a closer look at the impact of their products on the environment.
Life cycle assessments (LCA) fulfill this purpose. The ability to carry out an LCA opens up new possibilities and opportunities: products can qualify as "green materials" for new markets or opportunities for cooperation with other companies can arise. The introduction of a life cycle assessment as part of an existing or emerging environmental management system also promotes the innovative content of products and their sustainability.
Over the course of two seminar days, participants have the opportunity to learn how to create such life cycle analyses for their products. This training is carried out in cooperation with the Plastics and Cleantech Cluster of the Upper Austrian business agency “Business Upper Austria”.
Target group
This training course is aimed at people who want to carry out life cycle assessments (LCA) in their companies or are involved in their preparation. As this training course teaches the basics and is intended to create the basis for the independent creation of LCAs, there are no content-related, technical or organizational prerequisites. Basic knowledge in the field of sustainable corporate development and product design is an advantage.
